Read Camile Paglia's chapter "Junk Bonds and Corporate Raiders: Academe in the Hour of the Wolf" in her Book Sex, Art & American Culture:Essays [1982].

Standards of academic discourse are nonexistent. To suggest there is such a thing as objective fact is to have expressed an unconscionable prejudice. I was even told there was no constant in Einstein's theory of Relativity the other day as confident proof that "everything is relative." What, I asked, do you think the speed of light is, if not a constant? The question came from a man with three, yes, 3 degrees.
