What Value is There of Intelligence that Works Against ANY Sector of Humanity?

We are told that technology in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries has surpassed any advancement of the previous centuries by not just leaps and bounds, but in exponential fashion. Greater numbers of great modern minds are increasing as well. Even as we write our e-opinions on our speedy computers, we find that even pedestrian intelligence is given a mobility of thought unheard of in the days of opinions in hard copy print. For the common man to be upheld in this way speaks volumes to the increase of a common understanding of things, and an opinion of the common man (and woman) can be held with some value when viewed in some appropriate context; or one might so think.

In the recitation of the celebrated intellectualism of the cited individual, many things are noted by the entities that have bestowed their honorarium to one that has, by the cited accounts, accumulated a wealth of knowledge befitting one of such cerebral character. By every such acknowledgment, this person has achieved much, to his credit. So why do we have this impressive resume presented in the fashion of this article? Simple, for the individual has pursued a specific course of academics that is a result of his trying to understand why his heritage is different than another's.

Might one search closely beneath the surface and sense that there was a challenge to overcome bigotry, only to be deeply influenced by a countering sense of a different kind of bigotry is at work. Examine the recommendations, even the hose that are doing the recommending, and wonder what the achievements are really intended to project to the recipients of such accolades and to their audiences. On the other hand, what does the common man, who may not have a common grasp of just what the accomplishments mean, what of his understanding, and do the members of the intelligentsia even care about that?

In the final analysis, bigotry, of which a more virulent form is found in the practice of anti-Semitism, knows no boundaries, and unless countered with an abiding love for all of mankind, seeks to be the source of the enmities running rampant throughout societies. Do we challenge the intelligent mindset that is colored by bigotry and look for a better understanding in developing a better relationship between different people? There are many that would think so; and I would think so, but I defer to the man with all the accomplishment and accolades and would ask the question of him.
