Anti-Semitism and the Facts...Reader comment on item: Ali Mazrui, Antisemite Submitted by Sarah (United States), May 24, 2010 at 23:43 Apparently reverse racism has reached a new high (or low, depending on your perspective) in honoring, hiring and supporting a man whose ignorance on Arab and Jewish history is painfully obvious in the above comments you quoted. Muslim Arabs in the so called Golden Age were so gracious and tolerant of non-Muslims living in their conquered areas that if a Muslim was walking on a sidewalk, all non-Muslims had to cross the street to go to the other side. Muslim Arabs historically have also enslaved Africans. But when did the facts ever come into play with anti-Semites or racists in general? And just out of curiosity, where was the outcry from American Muslims during the Civil Rights era? Jewish people marched together with Martin Luther King Jr., and some gave their lives for the rights of all people to vote, to be full citizens of our great country. Where were all those American Muslims? But when did the facts ever come into play with anti-Semites or racists in general? I also had to smile at the theory that Jewish "genius" and intellect was maximized by living in the European culture. If that were the case, how does he explain all the accomplishments of the Jewish people living in the Land of Israel...accomplishments in medicine, science, music, art, computer technology....You name it! But when did the facts ever come into play with anti-Semites or racists in general!?
