Maghreb-Atlas Arabs from Jews

Dear Ms. Carmen,

While I broadly agree with nearly everything you said here, and I don't doubt at the slightest the deep rottenness that's going on in the US academia and its unfortunate consequences, I dispute one aspect of your letter. This concerns the supposition that "Jews have never caved in to Arab dominance". I wish this had been the case! It's commonly thought that in Morocco (Maghreb), mainly in the Atlas Mountains regionmany Jews with time became Muslims. It is even allesged that some (substantial) part of the Muslim diaspora in Western-European states from Morocco have jewish blood in them without they were aware of this at all!
