I will support your delusions to the deathReader comment on item: The Left's New Enemy: "Empire" Submitted by Pyotr (New Zealand), Jul 6, 2010 at 07:30 Comrade Ianus. I congratulate you on your illusions that mark you as a true believer to the end. Gorbachov was and is a marxist but he is and was also a realist. He like Putin saw the reality of the hollowness of the Soviet and before its revisionist collapse he intervened to save what he could for ... tomorrow. He also saw with crystal perception that the motherland could still attain her desires, not by opposing the more powerful west but by eating the heart out of the west and watching it fall like an over ripe plum into his hands. To do this all he needed was to remove the Soviet threat and wait until the west sold or gave him enough rope to hang the democracies. Gorbachov remembered Kruchev's promise that within two or three generations the americans would be comrades too because marxism would undermine and cut to the quick the place of the family and the individual as the foundations of the underlying culture and ethos. To do this all Gorbachov had to do was continue 'educating' the youth of the west as has been in train since the 1960s through leftist teachers unions and academia packed with professors who have suckled the mother's milk of marxist dialectic and fascist totalitarianism. The progressive movement as it is now self named is the same Comentern of the 1930s or the Fabanists of the early 20th. Century. Change the name but the usual suspects still keep turning up. Be happy comrade Ianus as you have the ability to post here. If progressivism has its way your days of free expression may be limited. make the most of it!
