Genocide of the Kurds !!!Reader comment on item: Lebanon, Stuck between Israel and Syria Submitted by Minhaj Akreyi (United States), Jul 20, 2011 at 22:29 During the Armenian Genocide, the Kurds were just another element within the Ottoman Empires army which consisted of Turks, Kurds, Arabs, among others and the Kurds within the Ottoman Military were just soldiers and acting as soldiers and not as Kurds and just like any soldiers in any military of the world, those soldiers were carrying out orders, albeit it being wrong.; If the Kurds are to be blamed then the Arabs and other ethnic groups should equally be blamed. The genocide was culminated and ordered by the Sultans of Ottoman and its generals and they were all Turks, and that is where the fault should lie on. Individual Kurds, by thousands, saved hundreds of thousands of Armenians by protecting and hiding them in their houses and many times lying to the Turks that they were Muslims; and this is documented by the Armenians themselves.
