Pipes's Libya BluesReader comment on item: Libyan Blues Submitted by Dan Rusen (Canada), Aug 22, 2011 at 20:11 Whoever gets to power in any Islamic country will have to contend with the country's big problem - the tribalism which effectively separates the population - not to mention Islam itself which will keep those populations ignorant and backward . Anyway, military history shows that these Islamics haven't the know-how to mount anything but terrorism as a sustained attack force, which will always be their Achilles heel. A modern army needs an awesome functioning infrastructure and chain of command, capable of altering plans every hour, if necessary. These Arabs who never seem to have a Plan B can't match any country in the West for that strength or national pride. As Churchill once pointed out re the force of Islam, (if not for science and education) "the civilization of modern Europe might fall". There is little science or productive heavy industry to be found in any Muslim country. We in the west worry too much, and most of this worry is fomented by the media in order to gain an audience....especially in poor economic times like today. The West is taking too long to confront these enemies, internal and external , thereby needlessly suffering for its leftist indecision to deal with the problem. But sooner or later after the bloodbath the Islamics will be kicked back to their deserts - just as they were in the late 15th and 16th centuries. As it says in the Bible, in Genesis: "Ishmael (father of all Arabs) will be a rebel. He will be against everyone and everyone will be against him". One may argue about the relevance of the Bible (Torah), but not against its simple and direct words.
