Whose Changing of the Words is Allowing the West to Gang Up in the MedReader comment on item: Newt Gingrich and the "Invented" Palestinian People Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Jan 11, 2012 at 16:25 There seems to be enough word-mongering to go around regarding the issue of validating to whom the land promised to Abraham by Almighty God; and I thought that reiterating a more Biblical centered (yeah I know, you are convinced that the Torah/Neviim/Kethuvim/Brit Hadassah are questionable by your standards); and yet there is no conclusion to the solution sought out by all parties concerned. Now, since I am not 'Palestinian,' one may conclude I have no vested interest-which to my own level of participation, I concur. So how does that make it a concern to me if I am not going to be dislodged from my principal residence if one or the other protagonistic parties win the day? In simple terms: much. It is, from the Biblical imperatives, an issue that Almighty God has been working through from the very beginning. What happens there will indeed affect my life-to a point. First-it has never been appropriate to call the region as disputed by the indigent Arab population 'Palestine.' It is in modern terms, a British appellation; so why would the Arab influences desire to use the term? From all appearances, it is done so for political purposes to gain audience from Western political influences sympathetic to the 'Palestinian' cause. What is the actual Arabic term, in Arabic? Second-one cannot summarily dismiss the Jewish population, either on historical or on pragmatic terms; the Jewish presence has been there from before 1948; only that since 1948 a declaration of independence for a Jewish state occurred, nominally disputed and militarily battled against by the Arab population for any and all the reasons that can be mustered by either side. But while the Arab population can try to make their claim more legitimate, it flies in the face of the facts on the ground; that the Jewish populations are there in Israel and will not go quietly into the night. They have the promise of their Almighty God and it does appear to many He is actually the One in control. Third-a matter of fact-but find a true Canaanite today. Fourth- Even Moses recognized this about his people-however Almighty God has not yet finished with them yet. Try getting past the prejudice of the Torah and come to the understanding of why. Fifth-related to the Fourth. Sixth-related to the Fourth. Seventh-related to the Fourth. Eighth-possession may have a determining factor in occupation-but ownership is a legal matter, which in this case goes back to the Fourth Item. As for the Torah, only those who have not come to an understanding of it in the way it was originally intended will say it is no longer valid-even certain of the Christianesque influences say this-yet it still does not invalidate it in the eyes of Almighty God. That can be said of both Jewish and Arabs from before the time of the Jewish national rebirth-an issue that has many local personal implications, but is not a true basis for establishing the rights of one group of people over another. In the future, the Holy Bible sets the standard of who deserves residency and who does not; and it will not be the United Nations that gets to make the final call. As for the original people, who does the Holy Bible say are the original; and who does it say the inheritors of Abraham are: that final determination is in progress and Almighty God has already designated the Judge. Want to know how close to that time is? Look at the multi-national presence developing off the Syrian/Lebanese coast and compare it with the Neviim-one can almost hear Ezekiel speaking about it.
