He obviously does not speak political-eze (at least national level) very well. I agree that the Turkish govt is Islamist and is going to be a big problem, but diplomatic expressions are key to having everyone on the same page and calling them terrorists is too simplistic. Casting doubt by using such terms that appear to the average joe as exaggerated, do not help the cause. He did himself no good with that comment, at least without an intelligent elaboration.
