Empire Building requires guts and brains :: Reader comments at Daniel Pipes

During its Imperial days, Britain used to run its Eastern Empire (Iran, Kuwait, and even some Central Asian countries and even some eastern Asian copuntries) through its HQ in Delhi (India), not London. Probably GW Bush thought on similar lines to manage its Arab and African empire through Iraq by making Baghdad as its Regional HQ. Well, by US defeat in Afghanistan (and Iraq), all dreams of empire building are crashing. No tears from me; I am anti-imperialist.
