Reader comment on item: Stay out of the Syrian Morass

Living so very near to Syria yet not being able to offer any help to innocent children is hard to bear. Your focused analysis of the situation is vital but so is humanitarian aid - especially to the injured.
Sadly, my perception of the "...Syrian morass" is that it is an absurd religious war being fought by fanatic God-botherers who clearly feel nothing for their own children.

Thank you. Yes, humanitarian aid (but not the sort that we saw in Libya) is a good idea, such as food, tents, and medicines.
