Submitted by Dennis Ashendorf (United States), Jan 28, 2013 at 12:53 AIPAC has decided, perhaps correctly, not to fight every fight to appear reasonable. This is opposite the strategy of the NRA, for example. The strategy is not wrong; since the future is not known. Sometimes results are right, sometimes not. During World War 2 it's pretty clear that Jewish groups didn't want to be too alarmist, too crazy. That turned out very badly, but would the alternatives have worked? To put it differently, AIPAC has read the tea leaves of our current culture and has surmised that direct action will not work. AIPAC must pick its battles and maintain access. The next two - four years will be tough. Submitting....
