Can NOT support any help for rebels ...Reader comment on item: Yes, Support the Syrian Rebels Submitted by kman (United States), Dec 19, 2013 at 16:27 The rebel factions in Syria are committing genocide of Christian populations and destroying entire villages. Assad for all his cold hearted ruthlessness, at least maintained a secular approach to leaving Christians pretty much alone. Admittedly, a tough call, but I find no excuse good enough to support rebels against Assad. Egypt should have been lesson enough. Christians were stripped naked and nailed to trees in front of the presidential palace where they were horribly abused and killed. Many more atrocities surrounded all this. Support the rebels? No! Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: The Christian population of Syria will be even worse off should the rebels win, which is one more reason I prefer stalemate. Reader comments (28) on this item
