Support islamists today and they will kill you tomorrow

I am very surprised that Dr Pipes would be in favour of supporting Jabhat Alnusra, whose fighters share an identical ideology to Al qaeda, but under a different franchise. Supporting such barbarous criminals is not only unethical, but also short-sighted and dangerous. Wherever Alnusra rules, there is nothing but bloodshed and murders. I can send you lots of photos and videos showing their barbaric practice of sharia law, selling infidel women as concubines, mass murders of Christians and Alawis, etc..

The US can not lecture the world about fighting terrorism if it supports a terror group itself. As an Egyptian, I was appalled by the US government dirty deals with islamists and it is now fairly obvious that US policy is entirely in favour of supporting islamists of all shades rather than liberals/seculars who could change the Middle East.
