Sorry, Dr. Pipes, but I must disagreeReader comment on item: Yes, Support the Syrian Rebels Submitted by Kepha Hor (United States), Jan 9, 2014 at 19:20 There's no way I would support the rebels in the Syrian civil war. If we back Assad, we back chemical weapons (which the Assad regime is ditching); but if we back the rebels, we back genocide. The Syrian rebels are busy eradicating the Christian presence in the parts of Syria they control. This is utterly unacceptable, and it proves how inept the likes of the O and Hillary Clinton are, since they let the Turks manouver us into this position. We've seen the gratitude of the Libyan rebels for American aid in their murder of Amb. Stevens and others; we'll see the same with the Syrian Jihadis. A better tack would be for our [mis]administration to learn that even without Israel, the Islamic world is a volatile place.
