and yet muslims have the Kaaba - housing the giant silver labia-like object which in turn holds that oh so kissable black stone/meteorite!

Question: what happens if someone has ebola?

I'd like to think that cleaning it regularly with water would suffice - as islam informs us in Sahih Muslim 1:66-67 - The people asked the Messenger of Allah: Can we cleanse out of the well of Buda'ah, which is a well into which menstrual clothes, dead dogs and stinking things were thrown? He replied: Water is pure and is not defiled by anything '

Very comforting to know, but, I must confess , in the back of my mind there is this ever so slight hint of doubt. This has come about due to reading accounts in islamic scripture of inanimate objects and even insects exhibiting bizarre behaviour - such as talking trees , talking ants - and as I've recently discovered - stones capable of running and stealing property:

Sahih Bukhari 5:277 The Prophet said, Once Moses went out to take a bath and put his clothes over a stone and then that stone ran away with his clothes. Moses followed that stone saying, "My clothes, O stone! My clothes, O stone!" till the people of Bani Israel saw him and said, "By Allah, Moses has got no defect in his body." Moses took his clothes and began to beat the stone.

I mean, really, things need to be consistent, repeatable and somewhat logical but alas, I guess logic was never flavor of the month for mo. He seems to infer that in this rather telling little verse:

Sahih Muslim 28:5612, "He who played chess is like one who dyed his hand with the flesh and blood of swine."
