You neglect

Ah but you neglect to tell us why the military option is off the table. I mean, you do, tangentially, but you ignore the Elephant in the Room. and that is Obama's task as a Muslim.

Having failed to topple Israel, using outside forces (the Arab Islamist revolution) or internal forces (the myriad of NGO's working inside israel to debilitate the jewish State, most financed by the US and the EU) Obama is turning to the most resilient and best equipped, most motivated and so far undefeated force in the ME : the IGRC.

Iran is Obama's proxy to deliver on his promise to his backers: The destruction of the jewish State

Skirting the Elephant does not make him go away. It just gets you trampled.
