Destroying the Iranian nuclear facilities will take several bombing sorties, but first the Iranian defenses must be neutralized. This can be accomplished with a HA-EMP (High Altitude Electro-Magnetic Pulse). Yes, Israel would have to explode a small nuclear weapon high in the atmosphere to dispel ground communication and place the Iranian forces in disarray----any radioactive fallout would be diluted sufficiently to be harmless. Depending on the number of sorties required to do the job, a second HA-EMP might be needed. The trick would be to select the proper air corridor(s) to avoid detection and possible interception.
