Obama will not attack Iran; Israel has to do it.

I doubt that this will happen. Obama's whole strategic thinking is pro-Iranian and anti-Israel; He will never take any sort of chance, none whatever, to protect Israel from Iran.

I don't think the Saudis are pinning their hopes on Israel. Pakistan, yes (and they have been greatly disappointed in this); the US, yes. If it came to actually acknowledging dependence on Israel, I believe that they will choose instead to become Iranian vassals. They will look the other way if Israel strikes Iran; and afterwards, they will protest against Israel while secretly breathing a sigh of relief.

If Israel does not destroy the Iranian nuclear facilities, and they do make a bomb, then the Ayatollahs get to bask in the glory of becoming a nuclear equal with great powers. This will keep them in power much longer than losing their nuclear facilities.

You are absolutely correct there.

Maybe the Iranian people will support their dictatorship more after an attack, maybe not, but who cares! When the Iranian people tried to remove their own regime in 2009, they were crushed! The ayatollah will stay in power for a long time. Let's pray someone makes sure it is without nuclear weapons.

It is possible, that irreligious Iranians will overthrow the theocracy. This could very well happen in the aftermath of a successful Israeli strike against their nuclear infrastructure. Libya, South Africa, Iraq and other countries have abandoned their nuclear programs; so Iran might as well.

I expect Iran to be neutralized by Israel. Then I expect Turkey to become the paramount power in the region, and ultimately to attack Israel..

Many other scenarios are possible; but this is the one laid out in the Bible, in Ezekiel 38-39. If Turkey is joined by Iran, Sudan and Libya, as the prophecy says, I think it will be overwhelmingly tempted to invade Israel: Israel has a technological edge over that coalition; but they have numerical superiority -- as did the Egyptians and Syrians in 1967 and 1973; and note that those countries attacked Israel at that time, even though it was risky. The book of Ezekiel says Turkey will be entrapped into attacking Israel ("hooks in her jaws"), like a fish being reeled in. Most likely, those "hooks" will be their own pride.

As I said, though, Iran needs to be neutralized first; otherwise, Israel might as well hang it up.
