Reader comment on item: The One-Minute Guide to Obama's Foreign Policy

"Obama's policy is purposeful but the consequences are not." Are you saying the consequences of Obama's policy are not purposeful because if you are, then I don't get it!
As I see it, consequences of a "failed" policy have a purpose to some entity and perhaps dire consequences to others. It is presumptive of me to say so, but I believe your conclusion needs a bit more elaboration.

I am saying that the policy is thought out but its results are a surprise, and not a good one, for Obama et al.
