What was hopeless? My ability at conveying points? Or the points I was trying to convey did not mesh up with what you thought I was saying?

It's a book which amongst other things, uses allegories to point to a basic truth - the Ground of Being.
It is not an end in itself but points us to a deeper reality - which is inside ourselves. You cannot experience it anywhere else. And the point is not to wait till you are dead to find it.

This site and a few others is a valuable source of information about the effects of the insidious cult of islam. It probably deals with it in a more abstract way in some sense - with a view to looking at where the trends seem to be heading.

I guess the more "certain" in one's beliefs the fewer one is going to find people who agree with you.

Yes - another 'realm' for want of a better world - which people who've glimpsed it say is 'more real than real' - hyper real if you like.

This is what I was getting at a few months back when I wrote about consciousness being able to step out of 'time' and the 3d world. Past, present and future are seen as from a different perspective. I suggested that the 'future' had already somehow 'happened' - as improbable as that seems to us in normal consciousness. So a person (or other entity) in that 'realm' can see all 3 simultaneously - much like being able to look at any scene on a roll of film. Or being able to go to any track/sector on a hard disk.

Well, when you think about it - it is anyone who is not prepared to leave the planet at any time. That's most folk.

I've only seen bits of it - but it is a good analogy. What we think of as real is not real at all. People swap the reality of their own selves for an illusion. Like Kevin Spacy says to his on-screen wife in that classic 'American Beauty' - "This isn't life, it's just stuff. And it's become more important to you than living. Well, honey, that's just nuts. "

If you accept that what we see with our limited senses is not all there is - then you have to be open to an awesome reality. Of course non of this is empirically provable , some would think it's utter nonsense but it's too late when they take their last breath to find out it wasn't.
