reactions in New-Turkey

Here in New-Turkey, Germany that is, "our" Turks openly declare their contempt for Erdogan to us "bio"-Germans. As far as I remember this is the first time that "our" Turks express and admit to disloyalty. These voices do reach top EU politicians.

Again, this indicates a genuine miscalculation on the part of Erdoğan (did switch to Turkish keyboard-layout here) He may silence his critics in Turkey but by doing so he will amplify his critics in New-Turkey. There's a hundred years of Western-minded development in Turkish history. The second Erdoğan dumps this tradition, someone else will pick it up.
