Donald Trump, and The Tower of Paperwork

Solomon spoke about paperwork:

Ecclesiastes 12:
[12] And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.

Nowadays, we generate so much paperwork, it is impossible to read it all. In the late 1980s, I used to get prospectuses and annual reports from some mutual funds we invested in. I could easily read them, because they were little bigger than church bulletins. Nowadays, every financial institution we deal with, such as life insurance companies, send us quarterly reports that are larger than most urban telephone directories. The regulations for the homeowners' association we are part of has a similarly large set of rules; and we are expected to know and understand all of them. Indeed, it is a weariness of the flesh.

With age and failing eyesight, America's elderly are expected to read and understand the 33,000 pages of the Affordable Care Act.

Can you see now, why Americans have had it with the current political establishment?

Thank God for Donald Trump! If he's one tenth as awful as his Washington Establishment detractors say he is, he'll destroy America as we know it (which is to say, an intractable, bloated bureaucracy) -- and thank God if he does; because then perhaps we can return to America as it was intended to be.
