Reader comment on item: The Mundane Origins of Germany's Huge Turkish Population
in response to reader comment: Immigration

Submitted by Mohammed Waza Khiddif id'Ullah (United States), Nov 5, 2016 at 01:33

"We deride them as 'migrants'. Why not call them people?"
Because migrants (mostly economic migrants ) are what they are. And most often they are entering countries illegally and under false pretences. But , taking a leaf from your little green book - why label non-muslims as 'kuffar'?

What do the following people has in common: Mark Carney, governor of the Bank of England; the former England cricketer Kevin Petersen; Nigel Farage's wife, Kirsten; Chelsea's new striker, Pedro; and Sir Bradley Wiggins?
Let's see .... how about they were all Europeans brought u n European cultures and had European ethics and no delusions about belonging to the 'supreme religion' or that they were 'the best of people'.

People from the UK moving abroad to pursue their career or financial interests, meanwhile are "expats", never emigrants or migrants.
Complete BS. People from the UK who move to my country are always called British immigrants.

Another journalist says: "They are people - men, women and children, fathers and mothers, teachers and engineers, just like us - except they come from Syria, Eritrea, Afghanistan and elsewhere. Why not just call them 'people', then list any other information we know that is relevant?"
Not that it is too relevant - but the percentages of engineers and teachers amongst them is miniscule. And shouldn't teachers and engineer be teaching and engineering their fellow citizens out of the mess they find themselves in?

Politically charged expressions such as "economic migrants", "genuine refugees" or "illegal asylum seekers" should have no part in coverage.
That is just your opinion, not a fact.

Stop treating foreigners like garbage and they will stop ruining your precious country."
Is their own country precious or not to them? If they trash their own countries and then proceed to try to recreate their societies in the countries that have tolerated their entry - natives of the host country have every right to say what they really think. Or would you rather pretend people were not thinking and saying what they actually think and say?

"Why did you let them in in the first place if you didn't want them here? "
We didn't. Politicians looking to out Mother Teresa each other did.

They left everything in their countries because of your promises. "
More BS. I know a lot of people - and absolutely no one who made any such promises. They left everything in their countries (except their cash, iPhones and maybe the extraneous wife or two) to come where they think they'd get an easier life, more cash, free housing, great healthcare, education - all the things their failing societies have not put the effort i over generations to obtain. They spread these rumours of the imaginary utopia among themselves - and their own minds plotted to obtain it.

"Are you so anxious to please that you can't say "no"?
How do you ever please ingrates who despite coming from some of the most backward societies, still think they are better than their hosts and long for the day when the black veil of islam fully shrouds their new societies?

" I would love to see you go to a foreign land where you don't have any friends, you don't even know anyone and you don't speak the language, and start from scratch."
Been there, done that... had a ball. But the thing is - I was living with civilized people.

In Islam there is no commandment to kill people by making such allegations against them. The cartoonists had exercised their freedom of expression, and freedom of expression is totally allowed in Islam."
Oh, really. Then you might tell that to the tens of thousands of apoplectic muslims rioting in Dkjakarta last night - over an imagined slight by a non-muslim (yes, a 'kuffar') . Apparently the koran 'was insulted'. (Well , from a religion with flying horses, talking trees and talking ants - apparently books have feelings too.)

"Even during the Prophet's time there were several instances of ridicule,"
Who'd have thought, eh? And, btw, that is 'the islamic prophet's time'. He is not recognised as a prophet outside of your cult.

"...however the Prophet and his Companions neither punished such persons nor asked anyone to do so. "
You really should learn what your own 'scriptures' tell you. Otherwise people might start to think that you deal with the truth loosely - or tell lies.

https://wikiislam.net/wiki/List_of_Killings_Ordered_or_Supported_by_Muhammad

"The killing of those people who had published the cartoons is a gravely un-Islamic act in the name of Islam.

The killers didn't think so. Why do you think your version of islam is any more valid to you than theirs was to themselves? Thy certainly and easily found justification for their actions.

"Multiculturalism means different cultures living side by side, separately.
It almost invariably meas a host Western culture having members of more backward cultures living a new life within their new hosts countries.

"We live in a multicultural world of mono-cultural countries."
Percentages of Europeans living in China, India, Africa, Middle East are . . . .????
Percentages of Westerners(Europeans) in non-European countries is dwarfed by the percentages of non-Europeans living in Western countries. That statement is false.

"... If only England becomes multicultural and other countries don't, then the result will be a less multicultural world."
Oh, you mean like all the non-multicultural islamic countries - which barely tolerate non-muslims who happen to live there?

" Right next to the Over ground Station, a peek inside the Railway Tavern pub will reveal white locals in the front, black locals in the back room. This segregation is self-enforced; both parties seem to prefer it that way. The sight of such retailed segregation is uncomfortable, and off-putting. It inevitably reminded me of the "separate but equal" facilities of late-Jim Crow 60s America."
So you're suggesting that maybe people may be innately 'culturalists' - preferring people of their own cultures? How dreadful!!!

"You and people like must learn to respect and tolerate those who are different."
What are you, some kind of fascist? We 'must' not do anything. In my opinion - you should try to distinguish between what you are so sure other people should be doing - and the right of people to think and act for themselves .

"Muslim community is a part and parcel of British society.
It wasn't to any great extent prior to the 1970's so it's not a permanent condition.

"Muslim community needs Masajid, state funded Muslim schools with Muslim teachers, halal meat, sharia laws and Muslim cemeteries, "
Now it becomes clear - you like spending other people's money on your utopian vision.. Why should the State fund the imaginary needs of sub groups?

"...otherwise, the future generations would be lost in western jungle.

What? Did I read correctly? You now say that people left 'so much behind' to come and live in a jungle??? Then they must be stupid. Why do we want stupid people coming to live with us?

Muslim children must develop their cultural, spiritual and linguistic identities before they are exposed to wider society,
WTF?? What is 'linguistic identity? If they are living in an English speaking society they should learn to speak English.

"....otherwise, they would turn towards extremism and terrorism. "
translation: "...do this or else" also: "......Give us money or else..'

So how come the children of Russian, Polish, Italian and Croatian groups in my society face no such problem??? What is it about islam that makes this threat possible? Why do no other subgroups come close to making the demands that islamists (and islam-lite -ists) do? Buddhists and Hindus do not and are grateful for the opportunities they've been given.

All Muslim extremists are the product of state schools with non-Muslim teachers."
Here we go, telling lies again. People DO notice.

" Muslim children need state funded Muslim schools with Muslim teachers as role models during their developmental periods."
It should only ever be a user-pays system. You want to poison young minds with islamic fables and ideology to increase the number of your fellow cultists in any given society - then YOU pay for it. Otherwise you'd be better off staying in whatever islamic morass you've grown up in and enjoy the madrassas.
