Thanks for agreeing with my analogyReader comment on item: Minimize Middle East Mistakes Submitted by Prashant (United States), Dec 28, 2016 at 23:43 Dear Dr Pipes, This is to thank the reader Michael S for agreeing with the analogy that I drew between Sindhi Hindus whose land was given to Pakistan by the tyranny and conspiracy hatched by the British, the Pakistani and the Indians (sarcasm in the last sentence) but who decided to go all over the world and prosper in business and education. Unlike these Hindus, the Muslim Palestinians (so called) decided to go all over the world and spread violence. No analogy is perfect but I am glad that Michael saw the point. The history of our world is loaded by examples of groups of people doing injustice to each other. But most groups decide to move on (except the so called Palestinians). What makes the matters even more deplorable is that (as I have said many times on this forum), 100 Israels from Saudi Arabia alone in terms of land-area. So, if for the sake of argument, we take just 1% of Saudi land and use it to populate the (so called) Palestinian people, 99% of Saudi Arabia will remain intact. So the issue is not about the land. The issue is the old mindset that any place where a Muslim conqueror carries his sword to, becomes a Muslim land forever. And the mindset that any place that is holly to anyone must be holy to Islam as well. This mindset must be challenged and questioned.
