I agree with Netanyahu.Reader comment on item: Obama, Kerry and Netanyahu Go Visceral Submitted by Anne Julienne (Australia), Dec 30, 2016 at 17:05 I agree with Netanyahu. I also take the UN resolution to be a declaration of war. And I don't see Netanyahu's response as "out of control": it was a passionate statement of refusal to be treated the way the resolution treats Israel and the Jewish people as a whole. That resolution has completely altered my view of things. I now see Trump as the hero needed in these times. He's flawed, yes. He's really much more than flawed. He's awful. But, as regards Israel, his heart is in the right place and the rest, for now, doesn't matter. Please, Daniel, take a deep breath and you yourself calm down. I'm sure you would have read Efraim Inbar's piece on Trump's potential New World Order where he writes: "Acting on his basic instincts, Trump may well be capable of grand Kissingerian diplomacy, without possessing Kissinger's historic, intellectual and strategic baggage." I think this sentence is favourable to Trump. It is open about him, not prejudging his ability to handle international matters well. We cannot know all of what is happening behind the scenes but it does seem that Russia threatened to use its own veto power should another anti-Israel resolution come up at the UNSC. If this is true, then perhaps Russia is coming on board, taking the side of Israel. If so, I daresay a phone call from Trump may have helped. ZOA is making a call to Jews and friends of Jews everywhere to unite and we must all answer that call. The dual leaders on the right side of this war are Trump and Netanyahu and we need to respect both and not add fuel for those who would bring them down. Morton Klein: "And it's time for us to all work together with the pro-Israel incoming Trump administration to repair the damage that Obama, Kerry and Power have wrought." United, we can win this war. But victory must be emphatic: not half-hearted, not half-baked, not half-cocked. Victory must be complete and utterly clear. That's the only way. Please apply your own wisdom on this matter.
