CubaReader comment on item: What Rex Tillerson Thinks Submitted by Gary (United States), Jan 7, 2017 at 17:53 Does anyone see Obama's play on Cuba as nothing more than a leftist propaganda move for his acolytes? Does US-Cuba rate as our top priority? If hotel companies and airliners want to promote jaunts down the Cuban beaches, what national interest does allowing or restricting them serve? There won't be any change on the island until Raul dies and his mafia loses power. Menendez telling Tillerson about journalists and dissidents who are being oppressed today isn't a "new development." The Castros have had them in chains for decades. This article would have had more balance if views from others in the meeting were included. Quoting Menendez only gives the view from the Far Left and they won't have anything good to say anything about any members of the incoming Cabinet.
