Reader comment on item: What Rex Tillerson Thinks

Submitted by Warty (Australia), Jan 7, 2017 at 18:59

It is rather surprising so much weight is given to this Democrat, Bob Menendez's opinions of Rex Tillerson and Donald Trump and their foreign policy. For goodness sake, as has already been said by more than one conservative commentator, all presidents and their secretaries of state are amateurs when they first assume office. In Tillerson and Trump's case, it is probably a good thing they are both outsiders. As far as international dealings, Tillerson is very experienced indeed, and the fact he doesn't know much about Cuba is neither here or there.

What, is Cuba the centre of the world? How wonderful Bob Menendez can claim to be an authority with a country he has very close links to, but how is a failed state relevant to the rest of the world?
