The Miracle is Israel

Dear Michael S,

It seems that Dr. Pipes' policy here is to respond, if he does with only one sentence or paragraph.
So I though I might venture in to add some observations which he might not disagree with.

When parents bring up their children they often are very concerned with the influence of their friends.
I maintain that the UN is like that. States vote because of their concern over the views of their colleague nations at the UN. But on an individual basis, things are different; I'm discussing Israeli bilateral relations today, as opposed to what they were in 1947 when the UN affirmed Palestine as a Jewish Homeland consistent with the original mandate of the League of Nations. So don't give too much weight to the United Nations. Don't forget that it is useless everywhere else where it counts: Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Taiwan, South China Sea, North Korea, etc. Think about it. Has any UN Security Council Resolution really affected the status of the states which have strong claims in any of these areas? So the mere fact that the UN is capable of ganging up on Israel and passing resolutions against it, is only systematic of a particular perversion - in which the United States is inconsistent, and obtains against the Interests of Israel. Can you imagine the remote possibility of China obtaining in any area of its own interests? In the case of Korea - yes, but only to the extent that there is no effect. In the case of Iran, it was not a UN resolution which affected Iran, but the United States honing in a huge boycott supported of the significant states of the world. In the case of Israel, we have the BDS phenomena; but that is slowly loosing support, or legal legitimacy in many parts of the world.

Now on a Global level, consider what the Arab Spring has "done for Israel"; I use this phrase for you to consider your word "MIRACLE" in its place. Or if you wish, substitute the workings of Providence. How money of the Arab or Muslim states are now Failed States? Iraq, was it not a major Sunni enemy of Israel? Now it is controlled by Shia Iran. And as for Syria. Was it not the Greater Syria which, under Assad's father, claimed all of Palestine for itself? How about Libya - it no longer even exists as a state. Egypt - it is now closer to Israel than it ever was before. Turkey - didn't it just restore relations with Israel - since the death of 10 Turks by Israeli commandos in retrospect now seems so minuscule considering the ongoing Terror in Turkey. I'm not going to discuss the rest of the Middle East - where the Sunni Shia struggle has by far surpassed any real preoccupation with Israel as an enemy or adversary.

And now before getting to Trump and his extreme Pro-Israel predisposition, I want to take you to Europe, with its rising Populism and Nationalism; do you not see that Europe is about to replace its Liberal Elite with a Grass Roots which will favor Israel over the Arab and Muslim millions of invaders showing up as Refugees but about to Colonize and Settle Europe, building Mosques, and their Women folk walking about, or trying to do so, in their Burqas?

If you don't see the Miracle on behalf of Israel, than I think your just blind to the Miraculous.
