More about the so called "bigger and smaller" jihad

Here is the hadith about al-Jihad al-Akbar wa al-Asghar (the bigger and smaller jihad) it is in al-Bayhaqi's collection البيهقي كتاب الزهد ص 165رقم 373 or al-Bayhaqi's book Kitab al-Zuhd page 165 number 173 and here is the link to the hadith

Notice that the hadith is rated as: هذا الاسناد ضعيف or this isnad is da'eef or weak which makes the hadith untrustworthy You will find in the link a commentary by al-Sheitk al-Albani the modern scholar that this hadith is untrustworthy and it is not included in the 6 Sahih compilations of al-Ahadith

Most damaging to anyone who claims that the primary meaning of the word al-Jihad is not holy war would be the following:

1. In this link he tells his readers ولم ترد كلمة الجهاد ومشتقاتها في القران الكريم الا لمعنى قتال المشركين وامنافقين

Or: The word al-Jihad in the Holy Qur'an only means fighting of polytheists and hypocrites

This means that the meaning of the jihad is holy war and notice that he questions the term bigger jihad by saying how can it be bigger when the man is sitting in his home enjoying food and drinks and women instead of being out fighting in the cause of Allah

2. Prof Dario Fernandez Morera wrote in his book: The Myth of Andalosian Paradise:and he is exposing this big lie about the meaning of meaning of the word Jihad and the doctrine of holy war in the Quran
