Linda Sarsour finds another hadith that is anachronistic and more evidence that she has no credibility

Any reader who is interested in reading about what is really Jihad then he/she can read Dario Fernandez Morera's review of what is really Jihad and it is in his book: The Myth of Andalusian Paradise, pages 19-56 And jihad means holy war and nothing about an inner struggle

Linda Sarsour's followers from the New Left are quoting (without critical examination of the truth about veracity of such hadith) a hadith that Linda quoted to explain the meaning of the word jihad and that jihad is about some inner struggle

Here is the hadith

أي الجهاد أفضل قال كلمة حق عند سلطان جابر

Or someone was asking Muhammad: "What is the better Jihad" and Muhammad replied "A word of truth (being uttered) to a Sultan who is a tyrant

And yes this hadith is rated as sahih but the source of this hadith is the problem and it is from Musnad Ahmad Ibn Hambal

His Ahadith collection is not included in the so called al-Kutub al-Sitta or the six books of Ahadith in Sunni Islam (eg: Sahih al-Bukhari) and the reason given is that some of his Ahadith were fabricated and not trustworthy and this is what we seem to be dealing with in this hadith

This is not unusual another example is 'Asem who transmitted the Quran and he is called a liar, plagiarist and fabricator when it comes to the transmission of al-Ahadith Strange but true

Now if you read about Ibn Hanbal you will discover that he opposed al-Khalifa al-Ma'muun and al-Mu'tazila who believed that the Qur'an was created and not un-created and he confronted the khalifa won and this clearly makes the above hadith anachronistic

This means that it is either Linda Sarsour knows all of the above and she lied to her followers or she is illiterate and I suspect she is both
