Psalm 19: Not a Question of Fearing Conspiracies - Do Not Fear TruthReader comment on item: Conspiracy Theories in a Time of Virus [COVID-19] Submitted by M Tovey (United States), Mar 19, 2020 at 12:24 In this worldwide epidemic of epic proportions, that a virus is the basis for sending civil society into a tailspin, even in these modern technological times, speaks to a more basic condition that appears to be overlooked more and more, while agents of evil influences are working overtime to bring more and more uncertainty and are salivating at the mere prospects of watching a world without hope abandon all rational thoughts of seeking solace from spiritual sources. Most conveniently, they are most virulent in promoting the idea that this is proof there is no god. Worse, making religion, whether Judeo-Christian or others, is a goal that the evil conspirators would achieve to enslave all on a global level. The idea that there is no Divine Providence is a modern one in this sophisticated technical age; secular reasoning seeks still to totally replace any mention of Deity on the realm of humanity and yet, the inescapable conclusion is still found in that most contested of all rational arguments: mankind does have a soul component and there is the element of free choice: to believe or not to believe the Almighty God, the ultimate question. The argument of conspiracy, therefore, must be contemplated, since if there was no conspiracy, then how does mankind escape the making of a choice to believe or not? Therein lays the conundrum: these things are prophesied, starting in the Gospel of Luke, the good news as told by the physician who was companion to Mary, mother of Yeshua, the crucified one. Yeshua spoke of these times: read chapter 21, pausing at verses 7 through 11, inclusive. These are those times. Those that believe may resort to Psalm 91, verses 1 through 8, inclusive. Our verification of these terms of reliance upon the greater power of an Almighty God can be searched in Psalm 19. COVID-19 is, therefore, not a surprise to those who are relying upon a Sovereign God; but there is the warning, making sure where one does find hope in a Savior, that there is the fear when one does not have that hope and replace the fear with the love of a caring Eternal Father, to whom all reverence is due. He knew this was coming; and now that it is here, what will be the choice; to cower in fear or to search out the salvation provided in the Gospels, where Yeshua said His love can be found. Believe.
