Event Horizons Have No Silver LiningsReader comment on item: Shaken Out of Complacency by COVID-19? Submitted by M Tovey (United States), May 10, 2020 at 15:48 History is replete with the rising and setting of human events of intense magnitudes, some of which survive on narratives that cannot hope to detail the horror of the moment, not unless one has experienced such horrors and can pass it along to the immediate heritage. Of such are the remnant holocaust survivors. Be warned or be sorry. We, this world, the entirety of civilization, is/are moving past the threshold of just such an event that cannot be explained, not by the experts, let alone the common population. Wondering if there is some alternate salient aspect to this is patently a result of not quite believing this could actually have happened. It did. It is still happening. Even as there are proposed items of action to get the world out of trouble, there are those that would trap the unsettled minds into thinking we are not going to get past this and are actively and openly desiring we do not. One person (probably not alone in the delusion) has actually said we do not deserve the freedoms enjoyed by an open society such as we Americans have in the United States of America. To watch misguiding legislators on the American Congress, there is compelling evidence there is a greater sense that most socialists agree. No silver lining there. The reality is that the world is passing a threshold no one in their right mind would really desire; but therein lays the deception; destruction is on the way and only a few, a remnant, are going to survive. All of Dr. Pipes suppositions are on the table; again, no silver lining. Only in the Hebrew Holy Writ is the hope for later good times.
