Does it Matter

From a Jewish or Israeli perspective, is there really much difference between an antisemitic, or traditional France led by an open antisemite, and a Muslim country? Historically, I think Jews have fared about as well in one situation as another - maybe they have even done better in Muslim countries. France, after all, is an antisemitic country. If they have an openly antisemitic president, isn't that an admission of reality?
