Footnote: The ugly Arabization and Islamization of North Africa and the victims were the Amazigh and their language

In Ibn Kathir's book: al-Bidaya wa al-Nihaya (see below) he tells us about the history of the Arab invasion of North Africa (today's Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco) and this is from an old post of mine.

قال‏:‏ فأمر بهم فحموا ظهري، وذهبت حتى خرقت الصفوف إليه - وهم يظنون أني في رسالة إلى الملك - فلما اقتربت منه أحس مني الشر، ففر على برذونه، فلحقته فطعنته برمحي، وذففت عليه بسيفي، وأخذت رأسه فنصبته على رأس الرمح وكبرت‏.

The Arab leader is proud of killing the "King" of the Amazigh then chopping his head and placing it on the tip of the sword then shouting the Islamic Takbeer! Barbarism!

فلما رأى ذلك البربر فرقوا وفروا كفرار القطا، واتبعهم المسلمون يقتلون ويأسرون فغنموا غنائم جمة وأموالاً كثيرة، وسبياً عظيماً، وذلك ببلد يقال له‏:‏ سبيطلة -على يومين من القيروان -، فكان هذا أول موقف اشتهر فيه أمر عبد الله بن الزبير رضي الله عنه، وعن أبيه، وأصحابهما أجمعين‏.

And here the Muslim invaders of the lands of the Amazigh are proud that they killed many Amazigh and many of them were enslaved

Notice that al-Amazigh are called Barbar (read this as barbarians!) when the real "Barbar" are the Arab invaders

More? They destroyed the very vibrant not just culture but also the language of the Amazigh and the end result? Almost all North Africans cannot read Tamazight dictionaries and case in point is our dear Mohamed aka Pascal..

The barbarians were not the Amazigh, they were the invading Arabs.
