Z-M-R Root and Arabic, Syriac/Aramiac and Hebrew and the elusive "olive" or "olive tree"

And the same in Arabic and Syriac/Aramaic

Here is from Lisan al-'Arab dictionary by Ibn Manzur (compare with Syriac/Aramaic ܡܲܙܡܘܿܪܵܐ) :

غنى في القصب

Or: He sang (read as he sings due to aspect) in reed (al-qasab)

Notice that the word القصب also means sugar cane. You make it hollow and now you have a زمارة (Zummara) also مزمار (Mizmar) and these are musical instruments made from reed and cane stumps. Ibn Manzur does not mention "olive" or olive trees

Here is Ibn Manzur:

ويقال للقصبة : التي يزمر بها زمارة

Or and it is said that al-qasaba (reed/cane) that is used for (yuzamir) is called Zummara

Then we seem to agree that Zemmour must be of Semitic origin and is it "olive tree" or hollowed Sugar cane /reed only Allahu A'lam
