Questioning Islamic Originality - What the Invaders Took in Conquest Against TruthReader comment on item: Islam's Surprising Impact on Daily Life Submitted by M Tovey (United States), Dec 12, 2021 at 15:28 We read in Reader Renox's citation here: ["The great translation movement (early Abbasid period) wherein 1000 years of the Greek classics became the foundation of Islamic philosophical and scientific discussion and discovery, were preserved and became transformational not only for Islam but also for the nascent Western scholarly traditions."] Fascinating: does this not underscore the assertions that Islam did 'not' contribute anything original except its disdain for culture before its time? Is this not why the Quran absorbs Jewish concepts of the Torah and subsequent Messianic messages of the Gospel of the Holy One of Israel? Crushing Indeed; bruised like a broken reed; yet resurrected for the purposes of the Truth in the Torah that Islam cannot ultimately crush.
