News on Ilhan Omar's recent activityReader comment on item: Will Islam Survive Islamism? Submitted by Prashant (United States), May 3, 2022 at 14:31 Dear Dr. Pipes, 1. She visited the Muslim-occupied part of Kashmir in Muslim-occupied Pakistan. My concern: why should Muslims be allowed to have private Islamic enclaves around the planet when other people are supposed to build religion-neutral democracies. And, why should US congresspeople visit these exclusive enclaves? 2. She commented that the Florida governor's task police task force will 'intimidate, harass and punish' poor and black voters. My concern: why do the Muslims always side with the leftist agenda while Islam has little to do with human equality and egalitarianism (you are unequal in Islam until you become a Muslim). 3. Ilhan Omar ridiculed some people who sang Easter songs during a US domestic flight. Ms. Omar complained that she won't be allowed to spread her prayer mats on the flights. My concern: Ms. Omar is not establishing the right analogy. The right analogy will be Islamic prayers on the flights/airports of Islam-occupied nations and Christian prayers on those flights. I hear a lot of Islamic prayers in the airports in Islamic theocracies and no Christian prayers there. It is unlikely that Ilhan Omar will pay attention to my concerns. She is drowned deep in her hypocrisy. I hope some Muslims take note of my message and think about it a little.
