More Sound Than FuryReader comment on item: The Caliphate: Updates Submitted by Rakshas 10 Anan (India), Dec 30, 2005 at 11:54 It seems as though the whole jihadi apparatus is based in the main on Saudi funding and Pakistani ballast. Without state support, the terrorists would be orphans in the world. Even for states like Iran, Islamic unity means nothing without the tacit support of Saudia and Pakistan! Both have been American client states for so many decades that they have a thorough understanding of the inner workings of the US government, even as the US has the two islamist states, their defense and economies in its pincer hold.It is likely that all these states will self-combust in the end, after causing enough misery for the rest of the world in the meanwhile. This is the way pointed by the history of Islam. They will finish each other off, tribe by tribe. Right now they have generated enough noise by taking advantage of the liberalism and openness of non-Islamic states. In times of reckoning however, it is obvious that there's more bluster than substance apart from horrific terrorist 'media events' staged from time to time, that serve in the long run to divide the world into two warring camps. Forget rest of the world, how long would it take for the United States alone to defang the Islamist monster at source? If the US, Israel and India were to act together in the unfolding scenario, as they must in the end, it would be sufficient to exert a lasting moderating influence on the world wide Ummah!
