A whole lot of furyReader comment on item: The Caliphate: Updates Submitted by Raja Wahid (United States), Jan 22, 2006 at 22:32 A caliphate is imperial by nature. Islamic theology establishes it and history proves it. If it had no fury, it would not have been supported by the militant Islam.During my growing up in Pakistan, the Friday sermons often lamented the situation of Muslims and emphasis was always that they do not rule the world and that they are powerless. There is no concern over backwardness and primitiveness of the society; the only emphasis was that Muslims do not call the shots at the global power any more. Make no mistake about it. Caliphate is everything about making Muslims dominent in the world affairs. Should it be stopped and can it be stopped? There is no reason to openly say it. If the west just exposed to the Muslims how hollow and backward this religion is, the quest for caliphate will implode.
