Louay Safi - Saudi attack dog - blamed US for terror bust at his IIITReader comment on item: Blaming Islamic Apostasy Laws on Western Imperialism Submitted by Ben van de Polder (United States), Apr 4, 2006 at 00:40 Safi was the director of the IIIT - The International Institute of Islamic Thought- (an Islamist propagation juggernaut). After it was raided by the JTTF and directly linked to Al Qaeda funding , Safi announced that "the war on terror was headed in the wrong direction" and demanded an apology from the Treasury Department. In an interview on the IIIT website he melodramatically claimed that:"...I was surprised....I was shocked. And I felt really that now the campaign on terror is heading in the wrong direction..." "...Actually, now we have been really disturbed and diverted away from our main purpose..." So we feel that this is wrong. This is un-American..." ".... So we hope that this can be contained, and we would like to see apologies from the Treasury Department..." http://www.iiit.org/news/news_details/default.asp?l_News_Id=54 Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
