Religious Laws on Western LandsReader comment on item: Blaming Islamic Apostasy Laws on Western Imperialism Submitted by Levi Bell (New Zealand), Nov 16, 2006 at 01:48 Your wasting your time. To believe that no 'religious law' will ever be enforced on western lands is simply naivety. I'm guessing youre from America from your comments. do you realise the US constitution is based on 'religious laws', known to most as the 10 commandment as found in the Bible, and no doubt similar laws in other religious books. murder, stealing, lying etc. There is no denying that 'religious' laws are currently being enforced and have been for hundreds if not thousands of years, including by your own country. I think you need to wake up, making comments in the heat of things can get a person in a lot of strife. Unless you personally govern all western lands in a dictatorship and plan on living forever, your comments are quite simply false statements and unneeded. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
