If the government can get it right, can the Leftist media be far behind?Reader comment on item: The Pentagon Looks at the Koran Submitted by Dr RJP (United States), Oct 2, 2006 at 14:57 The answer is, "The Left is too far behind to catch up to reality." I agree that it is noteworthy for a governent agency to break away from the "acts of desperation" garbage used to formerely describe these self-serving killers and call a spade a spade. My only beef is that they continue to call them "Suicide bombings" instead of their real name, "Homicide bombings." Calking what they do "a selfless sacrifice" is a total misnomer because they do it for personal gain and glory first and foremost. Secondly, many of these human bombs are young Muslim men characterised as being lnoers. You will not find any Muslim heads of households among their ranks. The homicide bomber has been thoroughly brainwashed into hating the West, viewing Jews and Christians as subhuman, and thinking that martyrdom is his only purpose in life, and his only way to curry favor with Allah. The problem is that given how often killing infidels is mentioned in the Koran, brainwashing seems to be is a pretty easy task. Note, if you will, that the very last thing an Islamic militant leader wants to do is martyr himself. Au contraire! He wants very miuch to stay alive and enjoy the fruits of this world rather than giving all that up for a promised pornographic heaven. In spite of all the evidence to the contrary, Muslims continue to complain that (a) Islam is really a religion of peace, and that (b) homicide bombers are not following the Koran or true Islam, and that (3) Muslims should not be stereootyped as savage killers, My local newspaper frequently runs letters from Muslims on their Opinion page complaining that Westerners just do not understand Islam, and therefore we should keep our comments to ourselves. If you have read my many comments on this website, you know that I am not one to keep anything to myself when I hear condescending, two-faced, lying anti-Semitic rhetoric. The "You don't know Jack about Islam," is their patented debate killer, and I am sick and tired of hearing it every time I present an opposing viewpoint. I am also royally ticked off at our local newspaper for refusing to publish my rebuttals to all of the negative propaganda spread about America, the Pope, Jews, and Israel. The irony is that many Westerners know MORE about what is in the Koran than the self-professed Koran experts. It is an insult to our intelligence to say that we take quotes from the Koran out of context to support our arguments, or misinterpret them. What part of "Kill Jews wherever they hide," did we miss? Muslim apologists like to steer ant debate about Islam away from the bad parts and focus only on the good parts. When you confront Muslim apologist about some of the most vile statements ever made in a holy book, their unanimous response is to dig deep into Western history to come up with atypical events in the Western world like the Crusades or the Spanish Inquisition or slavery in pre-Civil War America, Apparently, the concept of "Two wrongs do not make a right," has no parallel in Islam. Judt the other day, I read a letter written to World Net Daily's Opinion page claiming that suicide attacks are not just limited to Islam, but have occrred in World War II. This ia a typical defense by Muslims and liberals to mollify the wanton destruction wrought by modern-day bombers. The key fact that is completely lost on these morons is that violent acts like homicide bombing, forced-conversions, ethnic cleansing, honor killings, and imperialistic conquest of non-Muslim land has continued unabated for 1,400 years while all of the bad stuff done by whites (like the Inquisition), ended 700 to 800 years ago. Europeans and Americas changed their eays a long time ago. They have adapted to the demands of the 21st Century, have repeatedly apologized and repented for all of their past transgressions, and are committed to establishing world peace for some time. On the flip side, Islam cannot escape its warlike roots, and the quest to turn the entire world into one giant Caliph ruled by Sha'ria Law is being spearheaded deep into American interests by modern day jihadists and Mohammed wannabes. Yes, while it is true that the majority of homicide bombers and jihadists come from the Shia and the Wahabbist sects of islam, even the most secular Muslim is still prone to denegrate Jews, Christians, and other Westerners. Muslims who are friendly to the West and who do not have a desire to conquer it, have actively chosen to ignore the calls to do so within their own holy scriptures. In other words, people are nice IN SPITE OF Islam, and not BECAUSE OF IT. So, please do not tell me that I do not understand Islam or are ignorant of it. I know it way too well, and IMHO, the ones who know the least about Islam are its followers because they have been taught only the G-rated, santized version -- the one that purposefully excludes its bloody history of conquest and exhortations to kill infidels -- and the one that has the disclaimer about radical Muslims not being "True Muslims." According to the radical Muslims, it is they who are being true to the faith, and everyone else is a heretic anda hypocrite. So what is True Islam? An oxymoron that's what. Don't tell me that I do not understand Islam. Instead, please tell me how some Muslims can be benevolent to others regardless of their race religion, color, or creed, while other Muslims can be malevolent to all those who do not think like they do -- including other Muslims? There is a very simple reason as to why Muslims cannot agree on what is True Islam, and that is because there are chapters in the Koran that are totally contradictory and reflect how the practices of Islam were very situational and never set in stone by their god from their very inception.
