Politicizing EverythingReader comment on item: America the Unpopular Submitted by Arlinda DeAngelis (United States), Nov 6, 2003 at 12:35 The Democrats have politicized the war against the imperial Islamic army of terrorism. As a 25-year registered member of the Democratic Party, I am appalled that Democratic office holders would use their power in the interest of the party politics. Unlike the days of World War II, when the Republicans rallied around President Roosevelt in the interest of the common good. The Democrats and their liberal fans want the Whitehouse at all costs. In the last debate Dean, Gephardt, Kerry, Sharpton and Mosely-Braun (with the exception of Lieberman, the only Democrat with a sane political mind) said they would do the following: (1) Leave Iraq immediately thus insuring a return to typical Middle Eastern tyranny; (2) Defeat the $87 million funding for the war, thereby leaving our troops without the materiel and manpower to successfully fight the imperial Islamic army of terrorism. (3) Equated Israel and the ngo Palestinian Authority as co-equal sponsors of terrorism; (4) Accused the Bush administration of instigating a war for oil and Haliburton and incurring the hatred of the Middle East. Bush's strategy is to take the battle against the imperial Islamic army of terrorism to the Middle East and off of American soil. The Democrats want to keep it in New York. Under the Bush administration, Israel has finally received the recognition accorded all other sovereign nations and that is the right to defend itself. What is also remarkable is that the teenage homicide bombers are no longer looked upon as anything other than kamakazi soldiers of the imperial Islamic army of terrorism that murders innocents instead of engaging the military. As for "the war for oil and Haliburton", which the Democrats have banted around, the oil conspiracy is in the Middle East not here. The Democratic Party, of which I am a registered member, has undermined the security of this nation and the longevity of our Israeli ally. Our enemies abroad are watching the politics of war being waged against the President, and stepping us their campaign of terrorism.
