Don't Be ...foolish

You are so biased and fearful of the "Majority" losing power to a "Minority". It is troubling how people hide behind the thin veil of racism while telling the world that one person is not worthy of being a person in power. The conservative "right" think that just because you do not fall in step with what they are pushing that you are un-American, unpatriotic, un….., un-like us. The conservatives have had power over the different branches of government for several years and what has it gotten "us"? (1) The war(s), let's not fool ourselves there is only one war that is being fought on many front of the planet. When the terrorist (low-life pond scum) flew the planes into their targets and caused destruction, dismay and confusion throughout our great country as well as the world, they set themselves up as the primary target for America to show the world that it you hit us with a switch, we will hit back with the whole tree.

President Bush, with whom I do not agree with on most of his decisions or policies, was correct in every way imaginable to go into the Lion's den in Afghanistan/Pakistan and kick the crap out of the Taliban. The war should have be waged, concentrated and ended in the mountains of those countries. When the president decided that he wanted to take the war to Iraq he was wrong. He saw the opportunity to get Saddam Hussein for trying to kill former President Bush (Senior).

As a child that loves my father just as much as the president if not more, I can sympathise with "W". But as a president of the greatest and most powerful country on earth you have to be more restrained or at least more discrete in your efforts to settle grudges. The CIA, Delta Forces or some other covert agency should have been deployed to snap Saddam's neck. (Let me exhale) (2) The economy. For years the economy has been in a downward slide, the president and congress has stuck their heads in the sand like and ostrich.

Even if former President Clinton did sign legislation with the urging of Alan Greenspan and others, to remove certain oversight s of the banking/financial industries, there had been ample opportunities for the powers that be to right some of the wrongs that may have occurred. No, that was too much to ask since many of the people who are now screaming bloody murder are the same ones that were taking handouts from these leaches/vampires/culprits that got us in this financial mess. Look at Senator Ted Stevens, four decades in the senate and became the very thing that he first went to Washington to fight, (alegudley). Corruption, greed, self centeredness and the "Me" syndrome is what is wrong with our political structure today. (3) Scary cats. People are so scared to let go of the reins and let someone drive for fear that the new person will take them in a totally new direction that the original driver has never seen or thought of before.

Who knows, the scenery may be more beautiful than we could have ever imagined and the distance a little bumpy at first but becomes a smooth highway. And if not then not only take the damn reigns back but put his butt out of the cart and leave him on the side of the road. For many of years we have put our trust, faith and hope in people that have not had our best interest at heart. We listen to big mouth propagandist that spew sewage onto us to further their cause with the thin veil that it is our cause and you need to get on the bandwagon or you are "un-American".

How dare someone tell me or you that we are un-American because we are not lock-step with them? I served my country and continue this day to put her first to ensure that She is the best America that I can possibly make her. Not what I believe all by my lonesome, but what I believe based on true unbiased education and experiences from what I have gathered throughout my life experiences and exposures to different situations. I am not scared to allow someone different than the "norm" have a shot at making life better for all of us.

I am not scared to try something new as long as it is being done with true and good intention. I am not scared, nor am I a fool to believe that everything that someone spits out of his mouth is the truth. I am Human, I am a true man an independent thinker and even more I AM AN AMERICAN.
