Intrustions on personal freedom by Obama

Sometimes, people get too much bogged down into 'left' and 'right' that they lose their objecitivity. I hope that everyone can return to analyzing problems objectively and not based on "Obama is far-lefter" and so on.

Mr. Pipes wrote: "Just as the country has started to push back on the Great Society, in will come in a new surge of spending programs and intrusions on personal freedom, prompting changes that in all likelihood will never be undone."

If there is any lesson to be learnt from history, then intrusions have only existed in Republican regimes. Bush and Nixon are prime examples. And history bears any testament, then democratic regimes have done a lot but never 'intrusions on personal freedom'. Let's appreciate at least one thing that Democrats stand for.
