Coming policies of the DemocratsReader comment on item: Reflections on Obama's Inauguration Submitted by Kyle Gosnell (United States), Jan 20, 2009 at 19:15 Look, in the past, work was abandoned and govt. handouts replaced it, it is the slackjawed adorative call now in every corner of the country, IE: "gonna gimme the American Dream, and don't have to work for it". I say WHAT? Who will pay for it? If this country goes more Social on housing, we will see tenements everywhere, as the reality of the Government handout, is in few words, controlled poor, crime, and the mentality of, I deserve it, no matter what. It is pounded in youths heads all through School now, no one is better then you, and you deserve what they have. (Most times the mental understanding is, what you have is theirs for the taking, and no one blames them, even if it's your body) This is not a race issue, it will be survival I truly hope he can pull off his promises, without destroying what little economy we have left, but if any policy pushes the middle class farther , they will go under across the country, then where are the Tax men going to get the money for the giveaways? Not the rich, as they will have already left the country at this point. The Rats first, and then the wise, it is called cutting your own throat to stay in a hostile environment We will collapse into chaos, where gang lords run everything, such as it will be, city states that prey on others city states, all the way down to individuals, as is in some countries now. President Obama can make or break this country the first year, it will be interesting to see this Pseudo mans modus operandi plans, let us hope, his advisors hold everything in check. The real American Spirit is if your ball of string is coming undone, pick it up and make something new and better, not call a therapist to tell you it is unraveling, (on the Governments tab) Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
