Mansoor: Just answer one question: Why does Allah allow sex slavery?Reader comment on item: The Voice of America, Silenced on Radical Islam Submitted by Plato (India), Apr 2, 2009 at 23:04 Mansoor, you wrote: >>Correct yourself Plato! [AL-QUR'AN 78:6-7] ………... One of the authors of this book is Frank Press, who was the President of the Academy of Sciences in the USA for 12 years and was the Scientific Advisor to former US President Jimmy Carter. In this book he illustrates the mountain in a wdge-shape and the mountain itself as a small part of the whole, whose root is deeply entrenched in the ground. {Earth, Press and Siever, p.435. Also see Earth Science, Tarbuck and Lutgens, p. 157} According to Dr. Press, the mountains play an important role in stabilizing the crust of the earth. The QUR'AN clearly mentions the function of the mountains in preventing the earth from shaking:<< You seem to have got your information from Haroon Yahya. He is known as a very dishonest purveyor of Islam. I googled for 'haroon yahya frank press' and got this (http://www.harunyahya.com/miracles_of_the_quran_p1_04.php#27 ): Mountains emerge as a result of the movements and collisions of massive plates forming the Earth's crust. When two plates collide, the stronger one slides under the other, the one on the top bends and forms heights and mountains. The layer beneath proceeds under the ground and makes a deep extension downward. Consequently, as stated earlier, mountains have a portion stretching downwards, as large as their visible parts on the Earth. In a scientific text, the structure of mountains is described as follows: Where continents are thicker, as in mountain ranges, the crust sinks deeper into the mantle.25 Professor Siaveda, a world-renowned underwater geologist, made the following comment in reference to the way that mountains have root-like stalks attaching them to the surface: The fundamental difference between continental mountains and the oceanic mountains lies in its material... But the common denominator on both mountains are that they have roots to support the mountains. In the case of continental mountains, light-low density material from the mountain is extended down into the earth as a root. In the case of oceanic mountains, there is also light material supporting the mountain as a root... Therefore, the function of the roots are to support the mountains according to the law of Archimedes.26 Furthermore, a book titled Earth, by Dr. Frank Press, former president of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, which is still used as a text book in a great many universities, states that mountains are like stakes, and are buried deep under the surface of the Earth.27 Where does it say that the mountains are pegs which prevent the earth from shaking? Read the underlined sentences. All they say is that mountains have roots that support them, nothing about mountains stabilizing the crust of the earth. Where in Dr. Frank's book does it say that mountains prevent the earth from shaking like Allah claims (16:15)?? Give us the relevant passage, Mansoor. You are up to your usual trick of referring to some infidel authority to buttress your claim but you never take the pains to check whether they really support your claim. I have often had to show you, like in this case, that these authorities have made no such claim. Why do you insist on dishonestly claiming infidel authorities support the wild claims of the Koran? >>You may have very limited knowledge about the people who would enter the paradise.<< I have absolutely no knowledge of the people of paradise. I have to go by what the Koran says. And what the Koran says about paradise and thosr who are entitled to it leaves a very bad taste in the mouth. Wine, voluptuous women, boys like pearls. Is Allah so bereft of imagination that He can think of nothing but sexual and gastronomical pleasures? >>All of the Paradise winners would be turned to a very young age.<< So Allah is not just a sexist (women made inferior), racist (favouring the Arabs and Arabic), but also an ageist. To enjoy the physical pleasures of heaven Allah has to turn you into a youngster. Now the question will you be a teenager with a large titer of testosterone circulating in your blood, or a forty something with a moderate libido. The Koran, the book of all knowledge fails to give us this bit of information. >> Here is a detailed description for you knowledge which is available on Wikipedia. Descriptions of Paradise The descriptions of paradise are mentioned in significant detail in the Qur'an, hadiths and traditional tafsir (exegesis). Paradise is described as surrounded by eight principal gates, each level generally being divided into a hundred degrees.<< Paradise needs gates?? Which unauthorized persons are going to try and enter it? What are the gates made of, gold, stainless steel, wood, plastic? What lies outside the gates? Hell or the great empty void? Do you see how silly your paradise sounds? >> The highest level is known as firdaws (sometimes called Eden). It will be entered first by Muhammad, then those who lived in poverty, and then the most pious. Entrants will be greeted by angels with salutations of peace or As-Salamu Alaykum.[2]<< Aren't the martyrs supposed to enter paradise as soon as they die without going through the punishment of the grave or waiting for judgment day? There were many martyrs before Muhammad died. How can the Prophet enter heaven before them?? You can't be serious about the people who lived in poverty entering paradise. Millions of kaffirs live in poverty. Will they also enter paradise behind Muhammad? And why do angels have to greet resurrected people with salutations of peace. Are there going to be wars even in heaven?? LOL And angels shall enter unto them from every gate (saying) Salaamun 'Aleykum (peace be upon you) for you persevered in patience! Excellent indeed is the final home!'— (Ar-Ra'ad 13:23-24) The Islamic texts describes life for its immortal inhabitants as: one that is happy — without hurt, sorrow, fear or shame — where every wish is fulfilled. >>Traditions relate that inhabitants will be of the same age (33 years), and of the same standing/equal<< How can there be traditions when judgement day is yet to be? For an eighty year old to resurrected as a 33 year old will be great boost to his libido. The Koran tells you that Allah has ranked people: 009.020 YUSUFALI: Those who believe, and suffer exile and strive with might and main, in Allah's cause, with their goods and their persons, have the highest rank in the sight of Allah: they are the people who will achieve (salvation). What happens to people just below the highest rank? >>Their life is one of bliss including: wearing costly robes, bracelets, perfumes as they partake in exquisite banquets, served in priceless vessels by immortal youths, as they recline on couches inlaid with gold or precious stones. Other foods mentioned include meats, scented wine and clear drinks bringing neither drunkenness nor rousing quarrelling.<< This is just Muhammad's imagination of what is the good life on earth mapped on to the concept of heaven. The costly robes, perfumes and meat etc will require artisans and farmers. Who will doing this job? Heavenly robots? They will magically appear when one desires them? >>Inhabitants will rejoice in the company of their parents, spouses, and children (provided they were admitted to paradise) — conversing and recalling the past.<< I feel sorry for Muhammad. He cannot enjoy the company of his parents. You suggest that all will be 33 years old in heaven. You will then enjoy the company of your great-grandfather who is only as old as you. >>Texts also relate, for each man, "untouched consorts" (houris), created in perfection, with whom carnal joys are shared — "a hundred times greater than earthly pleasure".<< Why has the Koran left out carnal pleasures for your wives. Do they have to make out with their earthly husbands? This raises another question. What about a woman who has had several husbands and dies a divorcee? Will she be allowed carnal pleasure with one of those pearly boys or does she take turns with her various ex-husbands? >>What undemocratic you find when Allah would be chairing the justice day and would forfeit the right of his creation to speak in front of him. May be you never attended a court, where suspect or alleged is not allowed to speak without the permission of the Judge or Judiciary. I am sure you will agree to that.<< In court every accused has a right to speak (either by himself or through a lawyer). He does not forfeit his right to speak. He only forfeits his right to disrupt, intimidate the court, he has to follow some procedures. >>That is nothing undemocratic about it, Allah gave us full liberty to think what we want and speak what we want but not to cross the limits and laws he outlined for us.<< But if you take this freedom Allah has given seriously and say that He has partners He will burn you in Hell. And Allah has given Muslims the undemocratic right of taking booty and keeping slaves and concubines who obviously have no democratic rights to speak about their condition. >>Violating people would surely be punished and like in any prevailing criminal law, Allah has defined punishments for the crimes committed by the people.<< Allah allows you to keep sex slaves for which today you will be thrown in jail for a long time. Allah gives very little rights to women who can be beaten by men on mere suspicion of disloyalty. Human beings have vastly improved upon Allah's system of justice. >>Only those people would pay the price who like you tried to make joke of continuous warnings and alerts...Try to understand little Plato.<< I am inclined to make a joke of a Creator who has no sense of real justice. >>Many times you call the warnings as threats. Threats are made to innocent people, warnings are made to criminals and violators of Law.<< Allah makes laws which make innocents into criminals and criminals into innocents. Merely setting up partners with Allah is a heinous crime but capturing and keeping innocent women as sex slaves is no big deal for Him! >>Plato, keep on throwing your silly points, I will try my best to satisfy you...(although I know you are not willing to)<< Satisfy me on just the silly point I have raised above about sex slavery allowed by Allah.
