I don't know whats your educational qualification. I mean you can not be a biologist, an oceanographer, an embryologist, an astronaut, a geologist, etc. at the same time! It's a fact that even the non-Muslims experts of the respective fields stand for what is mentioned in The Holy Quran. It's easy to criticize.

As you have mentioned in your post that its your favorite pastime to try to figure out what the verses are saying, then u can check the website www.scienceinquran.com to know the TRUTH. I hope you won't step back from knowing whether what ever is mention in Quran about the sciences are true or not!
