Reader comment on item: That Nobel Peace Prize: Bashes Bush, Handcuffs Obama

Submitted by Peter Herz (United States), Oct 10, 2009 at 06:38

Well, congrats, Mr. Prez! The very least we can do is admit that someone in the big, wide world thinks that the USA is doing something right. And...

Taak, Gamle Norge!

I, for one, still have my qualms about seeing more spent in Obama's first eight months than Bush spent in eight years (even while fighting a war); and much of that probably spent dubiously. I'm also bothered that we've seen a so-called "Truther" among the president's advisors; along with a diversity czar in the FCC who admires Hugo Chavez; a science advisor who wants forced abortions and sterilizations; and 20 years' worth of association with Rev. Wright and Bill Ayres. Add to this, I cannot help but criticize the President for asking why the Islamic world hasn't naturalized and integrated the Falastin refugees when he spoke in Cairo--and a few other things. But, since over 50% of our people were willing to give the acolytes of the New Left a chance to govern, let's pray that our new president grows into his job and that his assistants see what the responsibilities of governing and making tough decisions (especially in international affairs) entail.
